The New Style Air Tester is used to test air content in bottles and cans. The instrument pierces the can or bottle through a sealed piercing needle. The air inside the can or bottle rushes through the piercing needle, across a pressure gauge (for instant pressure reading), and into the specially designed buret filled with a solution of 30% sodium hydroxide. CO2 from the sir is absorbed by the caustic solution as it passes through, leaving the remaining air from the can or bottle. The air is measured by reading its displacement of sodium hydroxide solution in the buret.
The Purity Tester consists of a caustic reservior (upper bulb) and a calibrated absorption buret (lower bulb) mounted to a PVC frame. The reservior and buret are held to the frame with 2 neoprene covered mounting bands that are adjustable from the rear side of the frame. The standard buret is graduated in tenths of one percent, the total being one percent of the volume of the buret. The caustic reservior has a line indicating the level to which caustic solution should be added, and which volume is slightly in excess of the capacity of the absorption buret. Tests carbonation levels (volumes of CO2) in beverages. Fast measurement of temperature and pressure. Used to test carbonated beverages in glass/PET bottles and cans. This instrument uses a dual scale pressure gauge (0 to 60 psi and 0 to 4.2Kg/cm²) and an adjustable 2" dial thermometer (25 to 125°F and -5 to -55°C). The device pierces the can through the can or bottle. Two measurements are taken, pressure and temperature. This data is used with 2 pressure/temperature relationship charts (included) to find the volumes of CO2 gas dissolved. The D.T. Piercing Device is supplied in one-and three-liter sizes.
The Secure Seal Tester tests the thread integrity and proper seal of glass or plastic beverage bottles. With proper attachments, the Secure Seal Tester can test bottles with aluminium roll-on closures, plastic closures, or steel twist crowns. May be used on bottles between 6 oz and 3 Liter capacity. Detects gas leakage rather than liquid for more sensitive, accurate readings. Rugged construction withstands production line abuse, yet is accurate for laboratory testing. Operates at 175 psi minimum compressed air, nitrogen or CO2, but is capable of handling up to 3000 psi inlet pressure. For glass bottles, must order appropriate ouncture tip assembly. For plastic bottles, must order the correct size pressure fixture and cutoff tool.
