Portable Flame Ionization Detector - Advanced Detection for VOC (MicroFID II)

The intrinsically safe, portable MicroFID II Flame Ionization Detector (FID) is designed for HAZMAT detection, confined space entry and soil gas monitoring. MicroFID II provides measurements over a wide range of VOCs, including methane. Its operating range of 0.1 ppm to 50,000 ppm helps better define the severity of the hot zone. When sampling in an unknown, potentially explosive environment, responders can be confident the area can be safely entered with measurement information provided by the instrument.

MicroFID II integrates a revolutionary metal hydride hydrogen fuel cylinder, which allows up to 70 hours of continuous use at very low pressure (80 psi) to maximize field operation up-time. Detection data may be displayed on an optional PDA and uploaded to a PC through its built-in Bluetooth wireless interface. Combined with an optional telescoping probe, the rugged and easy-to-use MicroFID II is the ideal instrument for fast and reliable VOC measurements in a variety of application scenarios.
