The Model 530 IR Spectrophotometer is an evolution of the Model 500 with completely redesign electronics using current microprocessor technology but retained the basic function of the Model 500. The two instruments can be run side by side.

This new design uses stronger stepping motors providing faster completion of Go To commands. With the touch screen display, touching the display screen enable user to access all the standalone functions. Spectra can be view through the display, thus allowing running of survey scans without a companion computer.
